OVERALL PURPOSE OF GENERAL COORDINATION

Conducting research, study, project development, planning and programming in the fields of agriculture and forestry, rural development and private sector investments; ensuring coordination with other relevant agencies also active in these fields; and addressing other issues that fall in the duty domain of the Administration in the context of National Development Plans and EU Alignment processes.

DUTIES AND AUTHORITY

• Conducting research, training-extension-counselling, project and programme development and implementation works for promoting the agriculture-forestry sector and rural development activities in the GAP Region,
• Ensuring coordination, developing and implementing programmes for achieving the agricultural-forestry related targets of the GAP Regional Development Plan,
• Following international developments taking place in the field of agriculture and forestry, evaluating these developments and translating its outcomes to the process of regional development; promoting projects developed in the field of agriculture,
• Carrying out activities in the context of National Development Plans and AB accession in issues that fall in the domain of the Administration,
• Conducting researches to promote private sector investments in the Region,
• Informing both public and private, whether domestic or external, investors about relevant legislation and business environment in the Region and encouraging potential investors for investment,
• Engaging in activities to create a "networking system" to enable communication and exchange of information between investors/enterprises in the region and both national and international entrepreneurs.
