Studies And Projects
Under the duties and authorities assigned to the GAP Administration by the DFL mentioned above as well as in the light of field studies carried out upon the directives of the GAP Higher Board, it became clear that rapid interventions and progress in such fields as drinking water supply and sewage networks, wastewater treatment, stormwater drainage and solid waste management facilities were urgently needed. Considering that local governments were yet financially and technically not equipped enough to accomplish these works the GAP Administration undertook various infrastructure projects in terms of both project design and implementation. With due account of regional context, these projects mainly targeted technical assistance for localities where infrastructure problems had become more acute and sought to come up with a feasible project stock. Information about completed and ongoing works is given below.
