Conservation Project Of Tangible And Intangible Cultural Heritage

Main strategies of regional development include economic growth and cultural development. In addition to the protection of cultural heritage, raising the level of education, social projects, cultural activities, and the protection of the environment are included in the cultural development. Cultural heritage, which is an important part of economic development, plays an important role in reducing poverty by creating new employment areas, increasing the income level of the region focused on culture and tourism, forming the cultural and social structure, developing cultural knowledge and capacities, international relations and cultural interaction. The most important objective of the project which is Turkey's most important intangible and tangible cultural assets that ownership of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, is transmitted to the next generation of intangible and tangible cultural heritage.

One of the main objectives of the regional development approach is the tourism-oriented evaluation of cultural heritage by considering the balance of conservation and use. Within the scope of the Southeastern Anatolia Project, which is a human-oriented project, it is one of the most important goals of the GAP Regional Development Administration to protect the cultural heritage and to ensure the use of the local people and the balance of protection and use for tourism. In this context, the protection of intangible cultural heritage through projects to be supported in the region; and indirectly, it is aimed to support economic growth.

  • 2020 – Gaziantep – Nostaljik Çocuk Oyun Parkı Projesi
  • 2021 – Kilis – Farklı Kültürler Bayram Yerinde Buluşuyor Projesi
  • 2021 – Mardin – Mardin Halkı Kültürünü Yaşatıyor Projesi
  • 2021 – Adıyaman – Geçmişine Misafir Ol Projesi
