• Project for Strengthening Physical Infrastructure for Tourism in the GAP Region

In line with decisions taken under the “GAP Region Tourism Master Plan” approved in 2011, the “Project for Strengthening Physical Infrastructure for Tourism in the GAP Region” was given start in 2017. The project aims to support relevant promotion and branding efforts by striking a balance between protection-utilization through a holistic approach, ensuring increase in employment and income from tourism, and giving a healthier and sustainable character to tourism activities in the region. 

The idea is to physically support the created destination brand (Mesopotamia- the Legendary Land) to as to ensure that it attracts more visitors and tourists. Investments within the project are still ongoing, and with its multiplier effect, it is a source of inspiration for different projects of GAP Regional Development Administration.
