Project on Capacity Building in Local Government Personnel in the GAP Region

Objective of the Project:

The project envisages analysing of training needs and developing training programmes to respond to these needs for developing human resources and widening the spectrum and improving the quality of services extended by Metropolitan, City, District and Township  Municipalities and Private Provincial Administrations in Adıyaman, Batman, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Kilis, Mardin, Siirt, Şanlıurfa and Şırnak provinces.

Target Group of the Project

Personnel of Municipalities and Private Provincial Administrations in the GAP Region.

What does the project target?

- Building capacity in personnel to improve the quality and efficiency of services delivered by municipalities and private administrations,

- Analysing training needs,

- Programming for and delivering trainings found as relevant,

- Establishing platforms by which local government units in the region have their access to national and international experience and information.

Project Duration: 2015 – 2018

Project Area:

Provinces: Adıyaman, Batman, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Kilis, Mardin, Siirt, Şanlıurfa and Şırnak.

Activities carried out under the Project

The needs analysis was conducted and resulting action plan was implemented.

Trainings and technical study tours under the project reached 2,500 persons.
